Highlander Tournament Report

Well, I came, I saw, I...we will see.

I had only the hope that my army's artillery would be up to the task of paving ground with my enemy's insides.

There is a Highlander tournament, 1500 points, coming up next week and I intend to go. When I go to tournaments, I intend to win. When IG wins, its via big guns.

Infantaggedon! 1850 Horde versus Tyranids

I've wanted to field an army like this for some time and I finally have the man (model?) power to make it happen. My brother-in-law was up my way to see a dentist and he came by afterwards for a riveting game of beat each other up. He brought his 'nids and I fielded a bunch of men. Good times.

How I feel about getting to use this army for once!

Battle Report: IG versus SW 2.5k

I finally go in a game with my brother in law and he busted out his beloved Space Pups. I decided to give my knights a break (more news on them soon) and took a pure IG army in my classic sense. I was really looking forward to this army and seeing how my traditional build of tanks, tanks, tanks could do. I was admittedly hesitant after hearing so much about how he is tearing apart all of his friends in games. I would just have to see if relying on firepower would be enough to see me through...

Merry Christmas, One and All

I hope that everybody who reads this, irregardless of who you are or where you live, is having a merry Christmas this year and that the next year finds you in a better place, filled with hope, joy, happiness, and companionship...and firepower. Everybody can always use more firepower.

Really GW...

I get that GW is trying to save the dying ship that is White Dwarf magazine. Maybe they're even listening to their customers by putting rules in White Dwarf that will benefit those who buy it. At the same time, would it have been so hard for them to have put at least at many formations in their month long advent calendar as they did in a single issue of White Dwarf? BA received something like four or five in the recent issue, all of them potentially usable, and the advent calendar has had two...both junk.

I honestly don't get it.

Review: Last Step Backwards

Well, despite my initial ire I caved and purchased Last Step Backwards by Justin D. Hill. My disappointment wasn't with this work on the Black Library advent calendar but that it was paired with a weak mission supplement on the digital editions side. I'll be discussing that on my blog today and hopefully have a few nicer things to say about GW by the end.
