'Casual' Tournament Report

I went to a tournament yesterday at my FLGS there were only six of us because most of the players at this store don't often go to a tournament that isn't ITC or competitive. You'll see the humor in this once you see the armies involved...

Upcoming Event: 30k Knights at 2k Points

For those not paying attention, Imperial Knights have kinda become my second love. They're everything, or at least most things, I love about the IG and more. While I have caught a bit of flak for playing them as much as I do (Hey, it could be centstar!) I don't think they're as bad as most people make them out to be, especially given our local meta that is very brutal. Honestly, we don't do casual here.

Of course, that means the FLGS is hosting a 2k 'casual' event. Having gone to one of these before, I can tell you that 'casual', in this case, means that more options are opened up and less restrictions are in place. If anything, it gets more competitive because of that. The big restriction being lifted this time is that players can use 30k, as long as they don't mix it with 40k.

That in mind, I'm running Knight Questoris. House Pelletier will walk!

ASSASSIN!!! Tournament Report

The FLGS had a 1k casual tournament so I decided, especially since I did not know how competitive the casual meta really was during the casual events, to try out something I've always wanted to try, the Assassinorum Execution Force.

LVO Practice Tournament Report

Ok, this is all a little late, so please forgive my lack of details. It is almost impossible to take notes during a tournament so I'm doing this on memory. That also means that I'll be dividing each game into deployment, early, mid, and late phases and giving the general details from memory.

I took a four Knight list and some Scions for support. I'm convinced that this has a lot of potential.

Biding My Time: Tournament Pics

Biting Off More Than I Can Chew: Maybe Hitting A GT

I've always wanted to go to a GT but life and the painting requirement have always kept me from going...sadly. Well, this new codex has given me some ideas for armored lists (because I play any other?) and I've decided to start painting a list at 2000 points. If I can get it painted by this August then I'll attempt to take it to the Pleasentville GT to test my mettle against other people with the time and will to paint an army.

Yep, I'm taking this seriously. :)

Final List Idea: Armored Inquisition

The tournament is on Saturday and, I'll be honest, I want to win.

To that end I tweeked my lists around a bit and this is the current list I'll be taking: Armored Company and Inquisition.

Upcoming Tournament! 1750!

Well, the tournament I tried to organize isn't going to happen. Too many difficulties getting the players that wanted to do it a certain way to actually do it that way. I eventually quit. Not worth the stress.

That being said, I'm going to play in my FLGS's next tournament on the 12th of April and this is the list I'm thinking about bringing.

So, I'm Running A Tournament

I'm stepping up and running a tournament. I'm coming up with rules () and going to be a player/judge. It's something I've always wanted to do and this'll be the first step. If all goes well, maybe I'll try to organize something annual or semi-annual. At the moment, it is just 6 guys but that makes it perfect to try something out.
